grOw/cinema, Ep. X, frame 20 completed!

Well, the Christmas holiday took up a lot of time this week (Monday through Wednesday), so I only had 2 days to work on Episode X. However, I was able to complete 5 more frames, bringing the total to 20 of 50 frames for the issue. That's 40% done! While next week includes the New Year's holiday, I don't think it will take away as much time as the past week.

In the meanwhile, enjoy the preview!

And, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2019 !

Production grOw/cinema, Episode X, begins! 15 frames done!

Holy fractions, Batman!  We're nearly a third done with the next Episode of grOw/cinema. You read that right.  I completed 15 of 50 frames of the next issue, which is 30%! Of course, the next 2 weeks will slow the pacing a bit, with the holidays and my usual year-end "real life" work. But, once passed that, things should move along quite quickly!

Hang in there and enjoy the first preview of the next episode that will be titled "Celestial Spheres."

Updates...

It's been about a week and a half since Episode IX was launched and I am glad to hear all the great feedback. I am glad you are enjoying the "Ever-Expanding Universe" series.

Episode X's Script is completed:  After some challenges to consolidate and solve the loose ends I left at the end of the last chapter, I was able to write the next chapter of the series. See below...

Episode X and blueberry girl:  While some have enjoyed the last episode and the artwork, they've expressed that "blueberry" is not their thing. Understandable. Not everything is for everyone. It is also a major departure for me, but I had fun experimenting and giving it a whirl.
The blueberry sequence was left in a cliffhanger and still has a ways to go. While I planned on completing the sequence in Episode X, I have decided to focus on doing so in the next issue. That is, the story will focus only on completing the blueberry storyline.
Those who enjoy blueberry girls, can purchase and enjoy the issue when I complete it. Those who enjoyed the artwork and story, even if blueberry was not their thing, can also purchase and enjoy the issue. Those who would rather not purchase a mostly blueberry issue can simply skip Episode X and pick-up with Episode XI without getting lost in the story.
Episode X will be a shorter issue for the above reason. Usually, I've played out the action following the previous issue's cliffhanger, then moved on to the next new stage in Carl's adventures. Instead, I will complete the aforementioned first part, and then end the issue.  The script I've written fills out full 50-frames in a satisfying completion to the sequence.
The short issue also means the next Episode will be released sooner than past issues!

New B.E. Parody Illustration:  I held a Poll at my DeviantArt Gallery and had people vote on what they would like as the next B.E. Parody illustration, which I do from time to time between issues.  The winner of the poll was Scoobie Doo (cartoon version).  Below is the result.  Enjoy!  (Note: the winner was just which Parody would be done first. There will be more done in the future based on this list and other ideas.)

grOw/cinema, Ep. IX completed! Release early next week!

I've finally finished the last frame of Episode IX, titled "Grab-tit-tational Blueshift". But I wasn't completely finished when I did. I realized that an extra frame was needed to really drive home one of the climactic scenes. So, I went back and created an EXTRA frame to fit that need. This episode will have 91 frames in total, instead of the 90 frames initially announced. On top of that, I had to go back and make numerous "art adjustments", such as: changing the color of certain body parts that I didn't care for the way I created them the first time; drawing in missing clothing (damn those discarded clothes... why can they just disappear like other discarded items in video games?); and a few other subtle adjustments.

The "cover poster" is also done, which I am also showing a sneak preview of here (a rarity).

I am now in the process of creating all of the website graphics, the website HTML, programming the store, and all the other post-production tasks needed to launch an issue. My wife will be reviewing and proofreading it tomorrow and this weekend for missed errors. Once the issue is finalized after this, it will be "go time!"  I am hoping for a Monday, Dec. 3rd release (but maybe Tues., Dec 4th, should there be more work than anticipated).

This Episode will feature the following themes:
  • Breast Expansion (big, huge, Wow, WOW!)
  • Ass Expansion (from huge to Huge!)
  • Penis expansion (huge; Huge!)
  • Nipple growth/expansion (big, huge, Huge!)
  • Vagina expansion (from Huge to Wow)
  • Clit expansion (big, huge, Huge!)
  • Belly expansion (via cum-inflation, some)
  • Blueberry expansion
  • Lips expansion (huge, some)
  • Lactation
  • Cum-induced growths
  • Tight and tearing clothing
  • Personality alteration, Reality alteration
  • Strong sexual situations (MF, MFF)
Hang in there just a bit more!  This new Episode is fueled, set for launch, and nearly ready for lift off!

grOw/cinema, Ep.IX down to last 10 pages.

I was able to complete up to page 80 this week. A little less than the last few weeks, but still a good outcome. The lower page rate this time was partially due to "real life" work taking some of my time away. The other reason is that more time was needed to complete many of the frames, due to: extensive liquid effects; playing with camera angles in my 3D program to get the best shot; making sure the characters meld with those camera angles; and the many overlapping of characters that is currently going on, which takes longer due to more separate areas needing to be selected in order to color them.

Hang in there! We are getting close. I expect a much lower production week next week, due to the continuing "real life" work, as well as the U.S. Thanksgiving Day holiday on Thurs (and Fri, as we celebrate it). This puts possible release a tad later than I had hoped, which is hopefully between Wed., Nov 28 and Fri., Dec 1. probably about Mon., Dec 4th or Tues., Dec 5th. (Edited Nov 27, 2018)

grOw/cinema, Ep. IX, frame 70 complete!

I completed up to frame 70 out of 90 this week. That means we're past the 75% mark (77.7% to be exact)! It's been a week full of working on many details in these last few frames: lot's of working with my 3D program and Poser models to get great camera angles and study how figures interact with each other; lots of "liquid" affects of various kinds; focusing on new characters' looks and wardrobe (and its destruction); and much more! Only 20 frames to go!

Friday, November 2, 2018

grOw/cinema, Ep. IX, frame 57 complete!

My goal was to hit the two-thirds mark by the end of this week (frame 60), but I fell shy by 2-1/2 frames. I was able to complete up to frame 57, and got halfway through 58. A combination of factors slowed me a bit this week, including "real life" work, Halloween, fixing a bunch of errors in old frames. The last in this list of delays refers to a few "key" items that where in the script and in previous frames, and I had mistakenly dropped out in some of the later frames. I had to go back and put them back in for consistency. (For example, let's say a character said "I brought this pencil to class!" and they were no carrying a pencil. Oops.

Hang in there! We're making great progress and are approaching the end!

grOw/cinema, Ep. IX, now just over HALF done!

Chipping away at the latest issue, I was able to complete up to frame 46 this week, which puts us just past the halfway mark of this 90-frame issue. I am really enjoying taking advantage of using my 3d program no only to render the backgrounds, but to use it to plan some really cool camera angles.

I had hoped to hit 50 frames, but some "real life" work and responsibilities ate up some time this week.  But next week, it's back to the grind!

Monday, October 15, 2018

grOw/cinema, Ep. IX now 25% completed!

I was able to complete up to frame 22 of 90, and make significant progress on frame 23 by the end of last week. With that in mind, 22.5 is exactly 25% of 90. I was unable to post a preview on Friday, as the remnants of Hurricane Michael knocked out my internet for 4 days. It only recently came back up.

Enjoy the preview!

grOw/cinema, Episode IX, well underway! 11 frames done!

Well, it's been just over 2 weeks since the last release of grOw/cinema, so I guess I should get back to work.  Wait a minute! I HAVE been back to work! In fact, I've written the script, sketched all 90 frames for the storyboard to plan the issue, created one new 3D background, built onto an existing background for the new issue, AND completed 11 frames!

Not only that, but I've also created one of my many "BE parody" illustrations. I call this one, "Ah-grow-ah Tano". If you've not seen it yet, either on Twitter or my DeviantArt page, here it is again, below. Enjoy!

Hopefully, this will make up for the long lag between issues 7 and 8 due to my move and reestablishing myself in my new home and state. The time between these issues was 126 days, the longest period between any grOw/cinema release. (The days between issues, from Episodes 1-8, were: 77, 59, 63, 98, 77, 70, and 90.)

Thank you for hanging in there, and thank you for your continued $upport! There is no way I could put so much time into each issue if people didn't support me. It's a full-time job!

Possible delay in grOw/cinema, Ep.VIII's release due to Hurricane

Just as I was hoping to release Episode VIII at the end of this week (Friday or Saturday), there is a rapidly increasing chance I will have to deal with level-2 hurricane, Florence, on that very day. Most current hurricane track predictions have the storm making a direct beeline for us. With rain and winds beginning Thursday evening, the chance of loss of electricity is VERY HIGH. I cannot release an issue, monitor orders, respond to emails, etc. without power. There is a possibility that this power loss can stretch on for days.

You can follow me on Twitter as well (@BustArtist) for updates.

But then again, we could luck out, and a change in direction for the storm will save the day! It's still 5 days off.

Keep your fingers crossed!

grOw/cinema, Episode VIII, now 93% complete!

I made pretty good progress this week, especially since it was a short one. (Monday was the Labor Day holiday here in the States, and I did my job celebrating by... not working. :-D )  I was still able to finished 11 frames in the last 4 days, bringing the total completed pages to 84 of 90, putting us at the 93% completion point. Next week, I am going to do my best to try to finish this Episode (baring any unforseen circumstances) by Friday or Saturday.  I still have 6 more frames, the cover "poster" image, proofreading and correction, putting the PDF together, and then working on the website graphics, pages, and programming the store. It's a tall order, but I should be able to pull it off.  Hang in there! We're almost there!

In the meanwhile, don't forget to take advantage of the grOwing Back to School Sale going on now!  Up to 35% off!  Catch up on any series you missed or complete your grOw/cinema collection before the new one gets released! (The Sale will end before the new release.)

grOw/cinema, Ep. VIII now past the 3/4 completed mark!

I had another great week, and was able to complete  13 more frames this week. The total number of frames done is now 73 out of 90, which makes this issue 81% finished! There was a lot of character overlapping and precise placement within the 3D backgrounds, so each frame has taken more time to set-up. There was also a lot of overlapping "liquid effects", which took more time to create on top of the characters and backgrounds. So, considering the extra work, I've made great progress this week!

Episode VIII will be titled "Lunching the Titan Rocket", and feature the following themes: Breast Expansion (big, huge, Wow); Ass Expansion (big, huge); Penis expansion (big, huge, Huge!); Lips expansion (puffy, big, huge); Hair growth; Cum-induced growth; Cum-induced Belly expansion; Lactation; and of course, Personality alteration, Reality alteration; Strong sexual situations (MF, MFFFF, MFFF).

You may have noticed a new theme above that has never been seen before in my work.  ;-)

grOw/cinema, Ep. VIII now at the two-thirds mark!

Yes! I made great headway this week, finishing another 16 frames bringing the total number of completed pages to 60 out of 90, hitting the two-thirds mark. Considering the amount of "overlapping characters" (which takes more time to mask out and color) as well as "liquid effects", I made noticeable progress on this issue. Getting closer!

Friday, August 17, 2018

grOw/cinema, Ep. VIII now halfway done (almost)!

We are juuuuust about at the halfway mark for the latest Episode!  I completed up to frame 44 out of 90 (1 shy of the true halfway point, which would be completing frame 45). So close that I will consider us there. I love how the art is coming out in this episode. I was really able to get back into full swing of things after my move-focused hiatus. Sometimes, there seems to be a motivational/comfort-level difficulty picking up the Wacom pen on a new issue. Not sure why. It usually goes away after the first frame or two, however. And now, a full 44 frames in, the machine is chugging away full speed!

grOw/cinema over the third-way mark!

I'm back from the NorthEast and SizeCon! And that means it's back to work on grOw/cinema.

I realized I forgot to post an update last Friday. I returned to the studio on July 31st, and have been working ever since. Some "real life" work took some of my time, but I was able to make some good progress on cinema. This includes 2 full days just building new sets for the upcoming episode, one of which will feature prominently. They were both quite detailed, and came out great! Here is one sneak peak of the big one.

In terms of the issue, I completed up to frame 31, and started on frame 32. There will be new characters introduced this issue, so stay tuned for more previews of these lovely ladies.

I've also been retooling the script, getting rid of dead-weight frames to make room for more expansion panels! Whoot!

I hope to write more on SizeCon, but it is late and I haven't eaten (Om nom nom). I need energy.  But for now, I'll say that it was a fun time!  Loved attending the BE Cafe, with all the growing beauties serving us (including Juliekat). I really enjoyed talking to all of those who came to my small booth this year and appreciate all those who bought my SizeCon-exclusive prints!

grOw/cinema, Ep. VIII work continues... 15 frames done

It's gone a little slower than I had hoped, but part of that is due to the amount of details that have gone into the frames I worked on this week. Lot's of dramatic camera angles (that take care to line-up the drawn characters to the 3D background), lots of special liquid effects, and many overlapping characters (which requires more selection and masking). I also lost some work time to "real life work" and other "moving chores". I finished frame 15 today.  Next week, I will be working on Monday and part of the day Tuesday, and then I head back to NY for some personal appointments as well as my attending SIZECON 2018!

I will see you at SIZECON 2018 on Saturday, July 28. I may be around in the morning of Sunday, but that is to be determined!

grOw/cinema, Ep. VIII production resumes after my move!

I meant to post this on this past Friday, but got busy and forgot. I am now (mostly) settled in to my new home, with my studio set back up and Wacom pen in hand!  Last week, I was able to spend a day and a half working on grOw/cinema and completing 4 frames. This week, I have returned to my normal production schedule.

Now, there WILL be another hiatus next week, as I travel back to NY to close out some accounts and visit friends and family who I hadn't had the chance to do so before we left. But this trip ALSO includes attending SizeCon2018 in NYC!  See you there on Saturday, July 28. (I won't be there on Sunday, as I have other plans and will be leaving to go back home afterwards).

However, after that, I will back on full steam ahead on Episode VIII!

Friday, June 15, 2018

grOw/cinema, Ep. VIII artwork is now in production!

This week — in addition to the mulTITude of chores required for our upcoming movie — I was able to complete the last 70 frames of the storyboard for the next Episode, as well as complete the first 3 frames of final artwork!  I also hope to get some more frames finished early next week before shutting down production until after our move.

As for that SizeCon preview, I am now able to release it in its full entirety. I call it, "Expanding Your Education".  Enjoy!

Work on grOw/cinema, Episode VIII has begun!

Work on the next chapter in the "The Ever-Expanding Universe" saga has begun! After the release of "Meaty-four Shower", I had initially taken a break to rest my arm/wrist, as well as begin the full effort to get ready to move to our new home (and sell, pack, and leave our current house).

As for the wrist/arm, yeah, I really overworked it getting the last chapter out... lots of ice, heat, ibuprofen, massage, and rest later, it's 90% back in action! ("Hoohaaa!" -- Johnny Bravo).

As for the move, as mentioned in previous posts, we are moving to a new state about 600 miles South. This will happen at the end June. Setting up in a new place, especially a new state, where you need new driver's licenses, bank accounts, and other things, takes time.  Because of this, I will be wrapping up my work probably at the end of next week (or maybe by the middle of the following week). I will be returning to the interwebs about 2-3 weeks later (mid-July).

As for Episode VIII, I have finished the initial script! I call it "initial" since, as usual, I continually mold and shape it as I sketch out the storyboards and the actual art itself. The story line gets to "age" as I work, and I retool it to make it better when I can. Sometimes, this change is small, sometimes it's major. For example, the story of this new episode (VIII) was supposed to be Episode VII! The storyline in the showers in Episode VII was originally just going to take up 3-4 panels. But it grew to have a life of its own, and bloomed into a full chapter.

I have also sketched out the first 20 storyboard frames of this new 90-frame Episode!  I am going to try to complete the storyboard, at least, before taking my "moving break" (see above). Who knows? Maybe I'll even get to begin the actually artwork!

Another thing I have been working on is a SizeCon Promo piece! Here is a preview of it below. It contains many SIZE-related themes, including BE, Ass/Hip Expansion, FMG, Blueberry, miniGTS, and even SW!  For now, I am releasing this preview. As SizeCon asked me to make a promo, I am not sure if they want this kept as a surprise until being fully revealed at SizeCon (as had happened in 2016).  If so, I will release the full image after SizeCon2018 (June 29-30).  If they OK it, I'll release it sooner!   :)

As for SizeCon, I AM hoping to be there this year, if only for one day (Saturday).  I will be returning to the NY area to settle and close out some business and personal items once my relocation has taken place. I will be piggy-backing this onto a trip to SizeCon! This is great timing, as I originally wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it!

So, hang in there and get ready for a new series of previews leading up to the latest installment of "The Ever-Expanding Universe"!

grOw/cinema, Ep. VII final frame done! Release soon!

I was able to complete the final frame to the 7th Episode of grOw/cinema, "The Ever-Expanding Universe" today, and made major progress on the "poster cover" image as well (I'd say, about 75% done). Juliekat, my wife, has already made 2 rounds of proofreading, and I am sure to complete the last image (cover poster) tomorrow.  This issue — entitled "Meaty-four Shower" — should be released this week on either Thursday or Friday. We're just about there! My delay is your gain, as this is the 9th preview for the issue (the most so far!). Each issue usually gets 6 to 8 previews, depending on the length of time it takes to complete the episode.

The next blog post will announce the release of this issue. Stay tuned!

Friday, May 11, 2018

grOw/cinema, Ep. VII, now 93% complete!

We're almost there! With another 10 very-detailed frames finished this week, frame 84 of 90 has been completed. With just 6 more frames (and the cover art) to go, this issue is 93% done! (In addition to post-production work such as proofreading, correcting, making the final PDF, setting up the website and the store). Hang in there!

grOw/cinema, Ep. VII, now 82% complete!

This week was a hectic one — in real life, work, and in the "grOwiverse". We contracted with a buyer to sell our house, and we should be moving at the end of June. There's plenty of time to complete Episode VII waaaay before then. But, selling a house takes a lot of effort and time, which has eaten into the production of the latest issue. But, it has not stopped it. I was able to complete 10 more frames, and made great progress on the 11th this week. The lower frame count is also due to the fact that the last 10 frames have been incredibly detailed — multiple characters, each overlapping, as well as water affects, and precision in getting the characters to interact with the 3D rendered background. These aspects take more time to create. But the results have been stunning, and I am very pleased.  Only 16 frames and cover poster to go!  We're getting closer!  Target release date:  some time during the week of May 14-18th.

Friday, April 27, 2018

grOw/cinema, Ep. VII, now 71% done (frame 64 completed)!

I made steady progress this week, though I had hoped to get a little further (say, to frame 67 or 68, which would gotten us to the 75% mark). However, a few "real life" work projects — as well as "real life" issues due to my up-coming move — got in the way. But, I was able to finished another 11 great frames of Episode VII ("Meaty-four Shower"). Hang in there — we're coming into the home stretch soon!

Friday, April 20, 2018

grOw/cinema, Ep. VII, frame 53 completed!

With the creation of frame 53 of 90, we are now well over the hump, with 59% of Episode VII of "The Ever-Expanding Universe" now complete! I was able to finished another 14 frames this week, which considering how busy I was with "real life stuff" (preparing to move), this is great progress! I am really enjoying working on this new chapter, with new characters and new settings!

There are a lot of things in play right now, but I am looking to release the issue sometime during the week of May 14th. Hang in there!

grOw/cinema, Ep. VII, frame 39 complete!

I had hoped to get a few more frames done, but I'll take the results achieved this week. Late this evening, I finished frame 39 of 90 of Episode VII.  That puts us at the 43% mark. I am very pleased on how the recent frames came out. Two new backgrounds had to be introduced to the series, and their creation took some of the time away from working on the art itself. Hang in there! We are chugging along at decent pace and we will be passing the halfway mark next week!

grOw/cinema, Episode VII, frame 26 done!

This week I was not able to get as many frames completed as I had hoped. However, I was able to finish 7 solid frames, some of which had multiple characters in them (which takes longer due to all the added details). You can blame a combination of the above, the preparation for my move (house got listed this week, which takes a LOT of work to get ready for), and some "real life" work. But now that the above has been done, I am hoping to have more time to focus on this issue starting next week. We are at about 29% done!

Frame 19 of grOw/cinema, Episode VII, completed!

Work has continued at a good pace this week on the next Episode of grOw/cinema. I've completed 12 more frames bringing the total to 19 frames finished, and made major progress on the 20th frame. A character has appeared in the series, and 4 more will come later in this chapter. This ride is just beginning, and we are past the 20% done mark!

FInal art creation of grOw/cinema, Episode VII has begun!

The creation of the next episode of grOw/cinema is well on its way! This week, I was able to complete the first 7 frames of Episode VII, which has a working title of "Meaty-four Shower."  This latest episode will also be an extra-long chapter like the last one, consisting of 90 frames. It will feature: Breast expansion (big, huge, wow!); Ass expansion (big, huge, Huge!); (some) lactation; huge cock worship; excessive cum; cum-induced expansion; (some) MILF; strong sexual situations (MF, MFFFF); reality alteration.

Interesting enough, this episode's storyline was going to be only about 25% of the original plot. However, while writing it, the ideas kept flowing, and I "expanded" it to a full issue. The original idea I had had for the bulk of Episode VII will now become Episode VIII.

Since it's been 5 weeks since the last release, 7 frames doesn't sound like a lot. However, I also had to write the full script for this episode, storyboard sketch all 90 frames, as well as build a new setting for this chapter in my 3D program for the backgrounds.

On top of all that, there has been a lot "non-grOw" stuff going on. As usual, I try to take a small break between releases (usually a week). However, I took a slightly longer one this time due to a severe bout of "tennis elbow" affecting my drawing arm. I really pushed myself to release the last episode, which caused the condition. (Basically, tennis elbow is usually caused from over-use or highly-repetitive motion of the arm, causing the muscles of the arm on either side of the elbow to pull tightly and cause micro-tears in the cartilage connecting the muscles to the elbow. This, in turn, causes pain and weakness. Rest, ice on the tendons, and heat on the muscles is usually the only cure.) While I am actually still dealing with it, the pain and discomfort is down considerably.

I also have been completing some huge projects in my "real life" work that were pushed off in order get the last episode completed.

In addition, the wife and I are packing up the house and getting to move to a different part of the country! Don't worry, I am sure I will complete this issue before that happens. However, there may be a month-longer lead time for Episode VIII as this move happens (probably somewhere between June and August), as we will need time to complete the move and get settled in our new place and state.

Note: Because of the uncertainty of the timing of this move, I cannot commit to attending SizeCon 2018 at this time.  If I go (and know that I WANT to go), that decision will be very last minute.

But that's the future!  Let's get ready for the here and now. Enjoy the first preview!
