grOw/cOmic#6, page 122 completed!

The latest page took an extra day due to the complexities and effects required. Page 122 had lots of overlapping body parts, a number of faces, and lots of liquid effects of varying sorts. The body parts take time, as each overlap requires masking the part individually before painting. The liquids take effects due to their complexity and numerous "drops, drips, spatters, and globs."  12 pages done, 9 to go!

Looks like he's enjoying his 'milk' bed, still surprised the barn is intact. Can't wait to see more, wonderful work.

Great Work! Looking good. I'd totally pay for an extra book of all the characters in there full sizes uninterrupted by backgrounds and smashing into each other. So I can see them in there full glorious sizes. Like a pinup book. Keep it up BA.

With 9 pages to go, and about 5 days per page so far, that's another 45 days. Which would put the release around September 1st, give or take. It's going to be a looong Summer...

other290: If you make your bed, you should sleep in (on?) it! ;-)

Anon1: Thanks! A rogues gallery or a line-up. Interesting.

Anon2: Actually, no. You are looking at only the time between the last 2 pages. On top of that, you are including weekends, which I don't work on grOw since I spend an incredible (full-time) amount of time during the week. I tend to complete pages at this stage at a rate of 2-3 per work week... usually every 2 business days (with the occasional 3-day stint, such as happened on this last page). Right now, with the fluids-a-flyin' over the next few pages, there may be some extra work to do; but barring unforeseen issues -- or where my "real life" work gets in the way -- I hope to complete the next 9 pages within 4 weeks. If things go well, that's 1st week of August (or possibly the 2nd week if issues arise). I am hoping for the former. :-)
