grOw/cOmic#6, page 29 completed!

I made such great progress on page 29 yesterday, that I was able to finish it by lunchtime today! This allowed my to gt some "real life" work done today, and even get a great start on page 30 as well! I am not sure if this will allow me to finish the next page by tomorrow or not, but we'll see.  In the meantime, enjoy the preview for 29 !

grOw/cOmic#6, page 28 completed!

We are now past the hump and into the second half of issue 2 of "Milking the Plot" with the completion of page 28 (page 10 of the 18-page issue). This was a "show off" page, in which frame are larger, less in number, but more in impact. While the less number of images makes it easier, the larger images means more detail can be seen, and thus, needs to be worked on.

On to page 29, which I've already made a great start on!

grOw/cOmic#6, page 27 completed!

With one more done before the weekend, page 27 of "Milking the Plot" was just completed!  Page 27 is page 9 of issue 2, which is the halfway point of the 18-page issue. We are at the hump now!  And as Connie is demonstrating in this preview, this issue is coming along deliciously.

** CORRECTION: Someone in the last blog post asked me about the asian girl in issue 1, and mentioning that he didn't know her name. While trying to find the frame in which her name is mentioned (it is "Gwen" as mentioned at top of page 3), I found a MISTAKE (gasp!) in which Gwen calls her girlfriend Gwen (the blonde). This appears in the last frame of age 8. The blonde's name is actually Feeona (as also introduced at the top of page 3). So, to avoid confusion in future issues, know that the asian girl is Gwen, and her blonde girlfriend is Feeona.

grOw/cOmic#6, page 26 completed!

I was making such great progress today that I decided to work late so that I could complete page 26 in one day, especially since the last page took longer than usual. With this page, we now have 8 pages completed for issue 2, which is 1 less than the half-way mark!

grOw/cOmic#6, page 25 completed!

After a few slow downs (cold, cough, Old Man Winter, and some "real life" work), I was finally able to complete page 25 (page 7 of issue 2) of grOw/cOmic#6.  This page also had some extra effects and details that took longer to paint (i.e. -- stretched cloth and other clothing effects). Now, it's on to page 26...

grOw/cOmic#6, page 24 completed!

Progress is moving right along on issue 2 of grOw/cOmic#6, with the completion of the next page, page 24. We are now a third of the way through to the finish line for this issue.

A few "real life" projects slowed down this page just a bit, but I was able to finish it early in the third day, and even began page 25. A few more projects over the next week or so may slow the current 1- to 2-day-per-page pace as well, but hopefully not by too much. (A newly developing cough/cold is threatening to slow my work down a bit as well.) Either way, I am determined to, at least, make a steady and continuing headway (albiet, slower at times) on the finishing of "Rising Action", the second part of the "Milking the Plot" series.

grOw/cOmic#6, page 23 completed!

With the completion of page 23 (page 5 of the issue), we are now past the 1/4-way-mark of the 18 pages in the issue.  5 done, 13 to go! I am definitely happy with the steady pace of this issue's completion, and I hope I can continue this throughout the series. Enjoy the preview!

grOw/cOmic#6, page 22 completed!

Another day, another preview!  Luckily, I had got a head start on this page yesterday, or this preview wouldn't have been posted so quickly after the last one. (Then again, that was due to the fact that I forgot to post the darn thing. Heh heh.)  Cruising right along on issue 2. On to page 23 (page 5 of the issue) tomorrow!

grOw/cOmic#6, page 21 complete!

The last week has had some slow downs due to some "real life" work but mostly due to a barrage of snow and ice storms. The weather took up my time because I had to shovel and scrape and sand and salt so many times (and then came in too tired to work).  Ah well, such is winter in the Northeast US.

Page 21 was nearly finished last Thursday, but I needed at least an extra 1-1/2 to 2 hours which I didn't have.  Having completed it Friday, I was going to post the update that night, but forgot due to the above delays.

But in the meanwhile, I have also been working hard on page 22, which I hope to finish and post a preview tomorrow.
