Frame 52 Completed for grOw/cinema 2, Ep.5. 1 more to go!!

Frame 52 is done! Getting so close, I can taste it! Only 1 more frame to go (and cover art) for the next issue of grOw/cinema 2 (Ep.5)! (I added an extra preview since I missed posting it lats week.)

Frame 34 completed for grOw/cinema 2, Ep. 5

I was only able to complete 7 more frames this week, but that's due to many factors — many of the frames were quite detailed, with numerous characters (up to 6), all of whom were interacting, overlapping, and some had clothing. This all takes more time to draw and color. Plus, with this many characters, setting up the 3D model to get the best camera angle can take extra time. I think one frame took about an hour and a half just to "set up" before I started to draw it.

I am now at the 68% completion mark for the issue!

Frame 27 completed for grOw/cinema 2

I was away on vacation from April 14 through the 22nd, which I, unfortunately, forgot to mention here. Upon my return, I had to focus on completing the Patreon commissions and rewards for April, and then I was able to continue with grOw/cinema 2.

So, in addition to all the work for my Patreon page, I completed 4 frame and made major headway on a fifth. I was unable to complete this last frames, as I had hoped, since it had a LOT of detail and is taking longer than expected (there are 6 characters all interacting in this frame).

We are now at the 55% completion mark. I had originally hoped to have a release by mid-May, but I must have been overly ambitious on that timeline. It's looking more like late-May now. I really hope to have a release before SizeCon (June 2-4), but we will see.

Frame 23 completed for grOw/cinema 2, Ep. 5

I completed frame 23 (and made great progress on 24) this week, just in time for vacation! Wrapping up Patreon rewards for mid-month as well. When I return to my desk on April 24th, work will continue on both!

Time to take a breather!

grOw/cinema 2, Ep. 5 work begins! Frame 16 completed

In a little over a week, I was able to finish up to frame 16 of the next issue of grOw/cinema 2, "growing to a Crescendo".

During the last few weeks, I've been finalizing the script of this issue (which had been about 70% complete when I sat down to work on the next release). I also worked on the new background (a large variation of a previous background).

This issue will be a streamlined edition — coming in (currently) at 50 pages. It is also the next-to-last episode of this series, building to its huge climax. I hope to complete this issue by the end of May.

The next issue of grOw/cinema 1, "The Ever-Expanding Universe" will follow. I have "goal points" to this next chapter, but I still have to mull over and conceive the journey that happens between the first and last pages.
