I can't help but notice Harmon's abilities are somewhat similar to Carl's abilities to alter his member size as well as the bodies of anyone he is in contact with. Assuming both stories take place in the same world one could conclude that the Conductor, Performer, and Accompanist abilities are an unintended side effect of Carl's alterations to the world. Similar in a way to how coach Schrodinger had arousal induced changes without Carl's involvement.
The only question is with Carl being more open with his abilities what attention will he bring upon himself? While maybe not with the characters from Growing to a Crescendo but if they are in the same universe will Conductor's come after Carl? Or perhaps I am over thinking what is intended to just be some fap material...
There are similarities, yes. But only one. Carl GAVE himself this size-change ability so that it would be easier to change sizes WITHIN his universe, so that he and others would be able to see the changes happen. This was done to enjoy the transformation as compared to Carl saying "She has big boobs" and, in universe, she would suddenly have big boobs (as if that were always the case).
Carl's main ability can control the entire reality around him, without limits.
Harmon's ability is a "natural" ability that he's always had, to his knowledge. His ability has limits, as he notes at the end of Episode 1 and during Episode 2 (he can only grow body parts to a limited size). He has now found out that there are others with such abilities and others with abilities that coincide with his, but are not the same. Harmon can ONLY change sizes according to the "rules" of his abilities. Carl can "create" these rules at whim.
As the story of "grOwing to a Crescendo" unravels, you will see a vast community of these resonance-users come to light, including hierarchies, "community rules", limits, and resonance-interaction. They will act within the "natural order" of resonance. If this was Carl, he could change the "natural order" of things — Harmon cannot.
To use Stephen King book as a reference, Harmon has "the Shining". In his universe, Carl created a "Shining"-like power for himself.
Of course it's far material. But nothing says it can't have a deeper story as well to give the story more layers. :-)
In the Latest edition of The Ever-Expanding Universe, Planetary Con-Drunk-Tion, Carl gave himself the power to change women at touch as well. on page 42, he states "Just like I have the power to change the size of women's pussies, I now have the same power over all parts of their bodies with my touch." So he can change the size of his member at will, and the sizes of all parts of a woman while touching them. Just like Harmon's or am I mistaken in the similarity's?
