GC#4, page 22 complete!

Work on grOw/cOmic#4 is slowly picking up again with the completion of page 22. This page took a little longer for a few reasons. While my "real life" workload is still a little busy, it is easing considerably. Also, the page, itself, is quite detailed, with plenty of figures/faces, and detailed clothing — all of which take extra time. Plus, throw in a 3-day holiday weekend to boot! Enjoy the preview — I'm off to start page 23.

Previews look great - can't wait to buy the next issue! Looks like the characters are figuring out the mechanism.

Or at least have realised that something's happening.

Are the previews always from the page you've just completed BA? Or do you use previews lifted from an earlier page to advertise the completion of a page later on in the issue?

They're always from the completed page.

It's looking great BA, good to hear you've had plenty of work and that you're now starting to get some respite. (:

It is not necessarily the case that the preview comes from the completed page, at least that's the case with pencil sketches

At any rate, if BA did take two or even three previews from the one page, it would certainly lend a great deal of mystery and excitement to the final release.

OK, let me set the record straight. :)

The link to the previous post where I state that the preview could be from any of the completed pages is/was true only in terms of answering Potato's question. That answer applies only to the pencil sketches. Since I only show a few small previews from this stage, showing a preview from the "currently completed" page is not possible or truly representational of the body of work completed.

In terms of the color previews shown with each "Completed!" post, each preview is from THAT particular completed page. So, the preview of Jeanette with the surprised look and arm held up IS from page 21, etc. :)

You may recall some of the previews from the final few pages of an issue, or even a series (i.e., grOw#2's final pages) where the previews posted were more and more vague ("gee... is that an ankle and some wrinkled clothing?"). At that point, I certainly do not want to show anything that would give the story ending away.
