Page 90 complete — 2 more to go!

This was another complicated page: 6 panels, multiple people and angles, new backgrounds. It took some extra time, but it was worth it.

I look at these last few pages, and at the first few pages of the entire series (issue #1), and I am amazed at the improvement. Not to say so to pat myself on the back, but I am glad that the advancement in quality has happened — I have really gotten into "my stride." The nice thing is that while each page may take me 30-40% longer, the quality is 200%+ better — a nice trade off. You can see the difference here — page 3 on the left, and page 90 on the right. I do lament the inconsistency, but I try, rather, to look at it as "improvement".

I have to say, that choosing a clip to use as a preview was difficult. Being one of the last 3 pages, I don't want to give anything away. In fact, this preview for page 90 is different from the one I first chose. Upon review, I had thought my first choice gave away too much, even though it was somewhat vague. I chose something even more ambiguous. Expect the new few previews to be just as cryptic. Enjoy!

Updated Progress map

I decided to update the "progress map" to give everyone a visual feel on how close I am to finishing "H2grOw", and how far we've come in working on issue#5, "Losing Control".

Page 89 completed! 3 pages to go!

Page 89 was a complicated one... lots of new effects had to be done, and it was a multi-paneled page with numerous characters. I wanted to post it last night, but I was only able to finish about 85%. I completed it this morning. The next page update may be delayed an extra day, as I have to create a new background for the upcoming panels. We'll see... In the meantime, enjoy the preview!

Pages 87 AND 88 completed!

Thank my wife. She said, "I'm off this weekend. Let me take care of the laundry, and you go work on a few more pages of grOw." "OK!" I said. Between yesterday and today, I was able to finish 2 good pages. A lot of work went into them, as the story is wrapping up -- page 87 had some interest water effects go into it, as it was a new camera angle, which you can see a little of in the preview. Only 4 more pages to go!

Page 86 done! Only 6 more to go!

A nice, not-too-busy Friday allowed me to post a new page earlier than usual this week. Sometimes, it's not until late in the evening, or even on early Monday, that I post Friday's work. Getting closer — 73% there! This was definitely a good page, lots of action and intensity! Whew... give me a cold shower! Enjoy!

Page 85 done! 7 more to go.

I know the preview to this is pretty vague. Getting close to the end of the story, I don't want to give too much away in the previews. So, like this one, some previews may just show that the page is complete. Only 7 more to go! We are 68% finished!

Progress map

A few have been wondering how close I am to the completion of the entire issue. To recap, the issue will have 22 pages — pages 71 through 92 of the series. Currently, I am 64% done with the issue. See the attached mini-map of issue #5, which will give you a visual representation of current progress. Now, on to page 85...
