grOw/cOmic#6, issue 3's last page is done!

I just finished up the last page of issue 3 ("Fleshing Out the Characters") of grOw/cOmic#6 ("Milking the Plot").  Finishing page 55 today completes the 19-page issue (and extra page longer than normal). I still have to draw and ink and paint the cover for issue 4, which will be a sneak preview at the end of issue 3. Over the next few days, I will be applying the proofreading skills of my wife, creating the final PDFs, creating the graphics for the website and programming the new web pages, and setting up the online store. Hang in there! The next post will be for the release of this exciting issue!

grOw/cOmic#6, page 54 completed!

I had hoped to post this last night, but I had another half-hour or more to complete the page (and post it online) but I had to go somewhere at the end of the day. So, I finished the final touches this morning and posted the preview of page 54, which is the next to last page of the issue! I am not beginning the final page and then the cover to issue 4.  If all goes well, I hope this means a release somewhere between Thu., June 25 and Sat., June 27. Hang in there — we're almost done!

grOw/cOmic#6, page 53 completed!

I just finished the final touches to page 53, a page with many added effects that take some time to create (as you can see by the preview). I haven't really done these in a while and actually had to make a few, quick checks back on some older grOw/cOmic pages to make sure of my technique. :-)  The good thing is that I still have the custom Photoshop brushes originally created for the task.  2 more pages (and the cover to issue 4) to go!  Hang in there!

grOw/cOmic#6, page 52 completed!

Yes! Another day, another page done. Having gotten a good head start on page 52 yesterday, I was able to complete it today — one day after posting the last preview. Hang in there!  3 more pages to go!

grOw/cOmic#6, page 51 completed!

Yet another page has been completed!  With the finalizing of page 51, we are down to 4 pages left! Of course, there is also the cover of issue 4 as well, but covers are usually not as difficult as a full page.  As usual, the previews are getting more and more vague, so as to not give too much away. Hang in there! This issue is 79% done!

grOw/cOmic#6, page 50 completed!

Chipping away, and getting just a little bit closer! With the completion of page 50, we are 5 pages away from finishing issue 3 of grOw/cOmic#6 (plus the cover of issue 4 which shows up as a preview at the end of the issue). We're getting closer, so hang in there! I'm off to page 51...

grOw/cOmic#6, page 49 completed!

I was able to complete page 49 early today, which still allows plenty of time to begin on page 50! I wanted to finish it yesterday, but there was just a little too much detail on this page — many faces and characters, sculpting flesh, wet cloth effects, etc.  What's also great is that page 49 is the 13th page of the 19 of this issue. That means we are past the two-thirds mark!  6 pages and the cover to issue 4 to go!

grOw/cOmic#6, page 48 completed!

I had reeaaaallllly hoped that have finished page 48 yesterday (yes, 1 page in 1 day!); but, of course, when you wish something outloud, it doesn't come true. I had a "real life work" issue come up on a project that was suppooooosed to be finished that ate up some time. Ah well, I completed this page this morning, and will now begin page 49.

grOw/cOmic#6, page 47 completed!

I finally finished the latest page, number 47. This was definitely a detailed page, with plenty of panels, faces, and overlapping of characters. I also took some time to enhance the dialogue which needed just a little extra "oompf." I had hoped to complete it before the weekend, especially since I got such a great head start on it last Thursday, but it was just a little too much. We are now at 11 pages done, 8 to go!
