GS#14, illustration#13 completed!

The next illustration for grOw/stOry#14 has been completed (the 13th image). This one was a 2-page spread with multiple characters, so it took a little longer. However, I was able to stay a little later tonight, and push myself to complete it before the weekend. Making great progress!

GS#14, illustration#12 complete

We are about at the two-thirds mark with the completion of illustration#12 (out of 19) for grOw/stOry#14! I've been making great progress this week, as other work is slow. The next illustration has been started on, but is taking longer as it is one of three 2-page spread images. Enjoy the latest preview!

GS#14, illustration #11 completed

The holidays slowed me down a bit, but I was able to complete illustration #11 for grOw/stOry#14. (I also was able to make good progress on illustration#12 as well.) Work continues this week on this latest stOry release — and I am hoping "RL" work remains a little slow (as it usually does during the week between Christmas and New Year's) so that I can complete a few more images. GS#14: 3 days, 3 illustrations completed!

I guess really got into my work, as I forgot to make updates to my blog upon completion of the last few illustrations.  I was about to post illustration #10, when I went to my blog and saw I only posted #7! D'oh! How did that happen?

Well, if you haven't figured it out already, I was able to completed 3 illustrations for grOw/stOry#14 since this past Tuesday — #8, #9, and #10! We are now over the hump, as I plan to have 19 illustrations in this release!  That's 3 more than the previous record, and about 6 more than average! This stOry has so much going for it, that it deserved the extra illustrations — especially since it will be the longest stOry to date!

GS#14, illustration #7 complete

I had a little delay since my last update due to "RL" work (which is typical for this time of year). However, I was able to keep on chipping away at completion of this release over the last few days. I have now completed illustration #7 of the latest grOw/stOry. Enjoy!

I am still making pretty good progress, though I had a little slow down in the last few days. I was hoping to get this image out sooner, but "RL" work is putting up roadblocks. We are about 1/3 of the way through the illustrations so far!

Making pretty good progress so far on the latest grOw/stOry (#14). I am still undecided on the final title, but this stOry is based on the E.L.Pub "Sorority Boobfest". You will see by this preview, that I am actually showing quite a bit for more normally "teaser" previews. That is because I already posted this same preview in pencil form. Also, this will eventually become the cover image, so a large part of this image will be seen when this stOry is released. Plus, it's a pretty cool illustration!  ;D  Enjoy!

GS#14, illustration 2 complete!

I know I said I would only post previews and updates upon completion of every 4-5 illustrations (as I did for all of the other grOw/stOries). However, with the long time this stOry has taken to get to this point (I had hoped for early November release), I decided to show a preview for each illustration. As I said earlier, showing a preview from each page could give away too much. So, some of the previews may not be especially enticing, but will serve to give you a gauge on the progress of this release. Enjoy!

grOw/stOry#14 Inking and Painting Begin!

In the last couple of days, I have been making great progress on the next grOw/stOry.  I was able to complete all of the pencil drawings for all of the illustrations. I also worked late today so that I could say that I finished the first illustration — fully inked, painted, and colored! This stOry release is shaping up to be the biggest grOw/stOry released in many ways — the longest text stOry, the most illustrations, and the most BE'ed women!  Whoo hoo!  As with previous grOw/stOries, I will be posting a preview every 4 or 5 illustrations I create. Unlike a grOw/cOmic, there are a lot less images, and thus, showing too much would give too much away. Enjoy the first preview!

grOw/stOry#14, well under way!

It's been quite a while since my last update. This is due to a number of factors, all contributing to a period of slow "grOw" progress. However, that is not to say little has been done. On the contrary, quite a bit of work has been made to the upcoming grOw/stOry #14 — originally named "Sorority Boobfest" — in the past few weeks.

A combination of "real life work", holidays, a little "writer's block", as well as just "real life" all combined into a maelstrom of forces that dealt me a blow. It is very difficult to turn on the "creativity" when there is a lot of stress in your life. This made the ongoing rewriting of the stOry a true chore.

However, I trudged my way through it all, gathering my resolve and reinvigorating my creative juices.  I have finished the initial draft of the rewrite, which now totals at about 24,700 words.  I will still be reworking some of the scenes, as well as adding some more details that were forgotten. However, this is where I needed to be to get the drawings started. And, in the last 2 days, I've made a herculean effort and have completed 13 of the pencil drawings. The story is long enough, and "juicy" enough, that I may well go beyond the normal 13-16 drawings in the typical grOw/stOry. How many, is still up in the air.

Enjoy the first pencil preview. I hope to start posting a few color previews in the next 2 weeks. Unfortunately, it is hard to say at this point when the release can be expected, and the chance of a December release is slim. But you never know!

Small progress update...

As I make my way through the list of 24 former EL Publications' Titanic Tit Tales ("TTT") stories, it is becoming increasingly more important to rework these original creations into something more before re-releasing them as grOw/stOries. The better E.L. TTT's were published first, and the lesser ones coming later. Not to say all the later stOries were originally bad in TTT form; some were just missing that edge that brought it up to date.

I am continuing the rewriting of the next grOw/stOry, which is based on the E.L. TTT release, "Sorority Boobfest." I am nearly done with the initial writing, which has brought the 10,500 word story up to nearly 20,000 and will probably go beyond when I am done. After the initial writing, there is, of course, reviewing, recrafting, and down right proofreading of the text before it is ready for prime time. This release will be more than 99.5% rewritten from scratch using the original as pure framework with numerous changes.

However, this grOw/stOry is taking longer to get out the door than I had hoped. As explained in the first paragraph above, I want to make sure the release if up to snuff before it goes out the door. The first few stOries were released "as is", with hardly any changes to the original text. However, between having gone through what I think are the better of the E.L. TTT's already, plus an "evolving" of the BE community over the past few years, these releases require a little more crafting.

So, what's next?

I know it's been a while since my last post — longer than usual after a release. A combination of "RL" events, work, and other "stuff" just kept me away. Plus, I was not sure on what to write!  :) 

However, that is not to say that the grOw series has not been worked on. In fact, I have been working hard on the next stOry — reworking the plot, rewriting the text (which in most scenes, is a complete overhaul), and doing "research" into reference materials for the characters.

The next release will be a reworking of the former-E.L.Publication's story "Sorority Boobfest." This stOry needed major reworking, including the title. While the writing was pretty good, the story, itself, was a combination of cartoony characters, over-the-top "Victoria Secret" descriptions, 80's montage-like scenes, and a full disregard for physics.  Now, a dash or seasoning of any of the afore-mentioned elements is fine — it gives a story spice. However, when even "suspending belief" becomes difficult, a story can truly fall apart. Too much sugar or chocolate can actually ruin a great dessert. There are also times, of course, when some of these elements work — they can be, of course, the main reason we indulge in stories such as these. You just need to give it a good basis first, to get the best quality from your tale.

On a side note about the grOw/stOry series, based on the last release, it seems the grOw/cOmics are much more popular — by a huge margin. Interesting.

grOw/stOry#13: New mOOns Rising

Kirk wanted to make his honeymoon special for his wife, Jane. Bypassing the "usual" honeymoon spots, he set his sights on the spectacular "Royal Rings Resort" orbiting Saturn. Not only that, he also want to give Jane a wedding gift -- that boob job she always wanted.

However, the future's great technology and medical advances have not ruled out all errors. GS#13, 15 of 16 illustrations completed!

I know it's been a longer while since the last post than my usual once-per-week schedule that I've been more or less keeping for the current upcoming release. "RL" work came back with a quick flurry — it's amazing how often it goes from quiet to suddenly every client coming out of the woodwork all at once. However, I've still been working on the latest grOw/stOry through it all.  I have completed 15 of the 16 illustrations so far, and made decent progress on the 16th today as well.  I still need to do some rewriting and proofreading of the stOry, so this release won't be ready immediately after the last illustration is done. However, we are getting very close indeed to the release of the first grOw/stOry since December 2009. (Wow!  Has it been that long?  I guess the last 6-issue grOw/cOmic series took a while!)

GS#13 — 11 of 16 illustrations completed!

Last week was a slow week, in terms of production on grOw/stOry#13, "New mOOns Rising", which was due to a number of factors. After a long quiet time, "RL" work reared its head, with lots of technical issues that I needed to resolve. In addition, I spent some time in my continuing search for a new host for my store — something more stable, modern, and easy to use.

But on the grOw/stOry side, it was "slow" due to the incredible detail that was needed in the backgrounds of the last few illustrations. Unlike the cOmics, it didn't make sense to take the time to build these backgrounds in some 3D program, as they would not be used more than a few times, and I actually needed many more than just 1 or 2 backgrounds. For example, the last illustration I just completed is a 2-page spread, and the background of a "upper-class" hotel room (albeit, in outer space) was needed. Details in the fabric walls, wood grain, and lighting needed to reflect this ambience. On that note, this illustration is just one of three 2-page spread illustrations that appear in this stOry!

grOw/stOry#13: 9 of 16 illustrations complete!

A week has passed since my last update, and I am now over half done with the 16 illustrations for the new grOw/stOry #13, "New mOOns Rising".  Nine of the full-page images are now complete in their full-color splendor. I am making quite good progress on the art. However, I still need to rework the story a bit, so I may not be ready for release immediately after completing the illustrations. If this does turn out to be the case, it should not be long after.  In the meanwhile, enjoy the new preview!

GS#13, 5 of 16 illustrations completed!

After a slight "weather delay", I was able to continue working on grOw/stOry#13, "New mOOns Rising", and made great progress.  Right now, I have just completed 5 of the 16 illustrations in the book — nearly 1/3 of them. As mentioned earlier, I will only be showing a few previews of the illustrations, since there are so many fewer images than a cOmic (16 compared to about 90) — show a preview for each would give too much away.  :)   Enjoy!

Hurricane Irene

As I watch the trees sway, we await the full landfall of Hurricane Irene here on Long Island, NY. Luckily, the storm has seemed to have diminished significantly from original predictions (quite normal, as hurricanes can be quite unpredictable). 

I fully expect to lose power at any time, as 1/4 of Long Island residents already have. I may not be able to respond to any emails or order problems for the next few days.  I am not ignoring you, just unable to respond.  :)

(FYI -- 2 pages of the next grOw/stOry have been completed!  I would have had 1 or 2 more, but I was preparing for Irene.)

Update, 9/1/11:  All is fine. Fared better than most in the area and NE. Just some clean-up and minor power flickers. Those were some wild winds, though!

grOw/stOry#13: pencils complete, paint & ink commence.

The pencil drawings for all of the illustrations of grOw/stOry #13 have been completed! Of the sixteen, full-size images, two will also be two-page spreads in the ebook. With these now drawn, inking and painting will now commence. I will show a few color previews, as progress is made. However, as I've usually done for stOries in the past, since there are so many fewer images than a cOmic, it will not be one for every page (so as not to give too much away).

The storyline will also be tweaked and worked on as I complete the illustrations. This will give all of the changes and additions I have made to the original text time to sink in, allowing me to make further modifications as needed. The title has also been changed from the parody-like "Bust in Space" (a humorous take on the old TV show "Lost in Space" and it's newer movie follow-up) to a more BE-related "New mOOns Rising".

The Next Project: a new grOw/stOry !

It's been 2 weeks since my last blog post, when I announced the release of grOw/cOmic#4, issue 6, which was the final installment of the series. The first week was dealing with the new release and occasional order trouble (mostly due to link emails sent to recipient's spam folders). During the second week, however, I was working on the next project, which is grOw/stOry #13.

This release will be a reworking and expanding of the former-E.L. Publication story "Bust in Space." I have been rewriting and lengthening the story, attempting to create a more fulfilling experience. The first draft has been completed, and has been touched up here and then. I am sure I will do more work on it, as time goes by. I was able to more than double the length of the story, and at more than 17,300 words, it will be the longest grOw/stOry to date.

Today, sketching each page in "thumbnail" pencil form, I worked on planning and "designing" the 16 illustrations that will accompany the text. This ties grOw/stOry #12 as the release with the most illustrations, as compared to the normal range of 11 to 14 images of previous releases.

After this stOry is released, I will be working on 2 more grOw/stOries, to round out the normal group of 3 that I usually release at a time.

GC#4, page 112 completed! Final page of the series!

It took a little longer than expected, mostly due to last minute deadlines in "RL" work, but the final page — for both this issue and the entire series — of grOw/cOmic#4 has been completed! All that is left to do is the completion of proofreading and subsequent corrections (which is already well underway), the final production of the PDF, and the setting up of the store and its graphics.

In addition, I am also working hard on something "special" for those who are really into the Art of the whole series. Details on this to come at release time.

The next update here should be about the release of issue 6, which is titled "A Sex-perience of a lifetime."  Watch for it between tomorrow and Friday! In the meanwhile, enjoy the final preview of the series. Sorry it's so vague, but you know that I can't give too much away!

GC#4, page 111 completed! 1 more page to go!

It took longer than expected, being more detailed than I originally thought, and being delayed due to unexpected "real life" work popping up, but page 111 is now complete! I only have one more page to go before the issue, and the series, comes to an end!  There is still more work to be done — such as proofreading, making changes to errors, setting-up the store, etc. — so, I won't be able to release the issue by this weekened. However, I am sure I will be able to do so somewhere between early and middle of next week.  Hang tough!  We're almost there!

GC#4, page 110 completed!

I am still making good progress -- though not quite as quickly as the last few pages -- with the completion of page 110. This page had a few of the "4Fs", but not too many that it took too long. We only have 2 more pages to go, folks! The end of the series is near!

CG#4, Page 109 completed! Holy proliferation, Batman!

I am still making excellent progress finishing up the issue, with the completion of a third page in as many days.  Page 109 brings us one more step closer to the release of issue 6, "A Sex-perience of a lifetime." Moving forward from here, the next couple of pages won't be done as fast as the last three, as they have more detail. Also, the next page needs some reworking, as I have been liking it less and less. In fact, I will be redrawing some of it before I begin ink and paint. Only 3 more pages to go!  Hang in there!

GC#4, page 108 completed!

Yes, in 1 day, I was able to complete another page!  Page 108 was not as time-consuming as the last few. Plus, I had gotten all my "real life" work done yesterday that was due, giving me more time to work on a grOw page today. PLUS, it's my birthday, and I wanted to work on something I really liked!  <|:D  Enjoy the preview — only 4 pages to go!

GC#4, page 107 complete! Issue 75% done!

Now that page 107 is completed, I can truely say that the issue is 75% finished, with only 5 pages to go.  I did a little math error on my earlier post, claiming that preview was the 75% mark when I still had 1 more to go. The issue will end on page 112.  I got a little over excited, I guess.  :)  Enjoy the 3/4 mark preview!

GC#4, page 106 completed!

Whew!  Now that was a page that took a lot of work!  Filled with the big 4 F's, page 106 took almost a week to complete (that, and a few "RL" work delays). And, on top of all of those 4 F's, there was plenty of detail. Getting the backgrounds to match the angles took some work as well; but knowing the angles I wanted before hand, I made sure to render the background first, and then draw the figures on top of them.  Enjoy the preview!

CG#4, page 105 completed!

Yep, yet another page containing the 4 "F's" (faces, figures, frames, and fx), page 105 took a few extra days to complete.  The next page will also take some time, since it, too, has a decent amount of the 4 "F's". However, we are about 2/3 of the way through the issue with 13 pages currently done, and only 7 to go!  Enjoy the preview!

BustArtist.com accepting Credit Cards again!

My Host has FINALLY corrected the credit card issue! You can now use Visa or Mastercard for orders.  Yay!

This is very good news, as it allows me to focus on getting the last issue of grOw/cOmic#4 out, and not have to worry about this.  I am still seriously pursuing a new Host and eCommerce solution so that I do not have to deal with this outdated system and poor support again. But, at least I can do this more leisurely and do more research to make sure I find a good solution moving forward.

GC#4, page 104 completed!

Whew — just before the weekend, I was finally able to finish page 104. A number of factors contributed to the long pause between updates — page complexity, "RL" work, and troubles with my site.

The page was another one containing the big 4 "F's" which take more time — faces, figures, frames, and fx.  A few dramatic angles in some of the frames also made marrying up the background that much more difficult.

"RL work" caused a small pause, though nothing that will seriously delay future updates and the issue (at the time of this writing).

The biggest concern, causing possible delays, is the credit card issue with my site, which is STILL on-going with my Host.  "I ain't none too happy, pappy!" I am still looking around for a new site/Host option, even if they fix this soon.  I hope they do correct it quickly, so that I can take more time looking. Either way, I want to move over to a new option that will allow me to "modernize" my site and have less problems.

In the meanwhile, enjoy the preview!  I am also including an updated "Progress Map" of the issue so you can see where I am in completing the final chapter.

GC#4, page 103 completed!

Page 103 took a little longer than the other pages so far in this issue, but that was because it was quite the detailed page, with a decent number of the 4 "F's" — frames, faces, figures and "fx" (special effects). The more of each these items there are, the more time it takes to complete a page, as they can be labor intensive. In addition, the backgrounds took some time to marry up to the figures properly; some being very detailed, themselves. The previews may be becoming more and more vague as we start the countdown to the last 9 pages of the entire 112-page series. I wouldn't want to give anything away. Enjoy the preview!

GC#4, page 102 completed! 50% Mark!

With the completion of page 102, we are now at the 50% mark in issue 6 — 10 pages down, 10 pages to go!  I am still making good progress, especially considering the effects involved over the last few pages. I may have a little slow down next week, as more "RL" work is hinting at popping up, but I think I will stillcontinue to make good headway over all in completing this issue. Enjoy the preview!

GC#4, page 101 completed!

I had to work extra late today to get this page finished before the weekend. Filled with a lot of detail and special effects (blurs, motion, depth of field, liquids, etc.), page 101 proved to be a heavy work load!

GC#4, page 100 completed!

We've reached the triple digits in pages, with the completion of page 100. Still plenty of detail to work on, but I am continuing to hold a good pace!

Now, if only my Host can get it's act together and fix my store, especially before this issue comes to release time, we'll be in good shape. (Credit cards are not yet going through; however, PayPal is most of time [try again in a few minutes, if you get an error].) Over 3 weeks now with this issue — I'm ready to start looking into a new site. :P

GC#4, page 99 completed!

Still chugging along, I just finished page 99 in the latest issue. This was another detail-laden page, which took extra time, but I was still able to hold to my current 2-days per page standard pace. Now, it's on to page 100 — which, interestingly, was the original last page of the series, until I extended the story/issues here and there. The series is now set to end on page 112! Cruising right along, I was just able to finish page 98 today. I wasn't sure if I would, as it is a detailed page, to say the least, with multiple panels, numerous faces (which take more time), overlapping figures and plenty of post-production effects. No time to loose! It's on to page 99 !

Working is progressing fairly well, and with another 2 weekdays passed since the last update, I have completed page 97 of grOw/cOmic#4. This page took a little extra work, mainly due to the layering of, and interaction of, certain body parts. ;) It takes a little extra "sculpting" when this happens, as well as extra time to select each overlapping area before applying the shading and lighting. And, with this page completed, we've hit the 25% mark in the new issue!

GC#4, page 96 completed!

My return to work on issue 6 has, so far, had good, quick results. Page 96 has just been completed, and I am already starting on the next page. Hopefully, I will make good progress in the next week or two to make up for the temporary halt in production of the newest installment. Enjoy the preview!

GC#4: production revving up again.

I am back, and having taken a day and a half to catch-up on things put on hold, I have begun working on grOw/cOmic#4, issue 6 once again. I will post of the next page preview once completed, which is now about 1/3 done. Thanks, again, to everyone who posted their kind comments.

Also, currently there is a problem at my site with Credit Cards. My Host's IT is looking into it. You may receive a "General Error" for Credit Card purchases right now. I will post a message here when this has been cleared up. PayPal is still working. It does, however, have the occasional hick-up. If so, just reorder again in a few minutes, as the original order never went through.

GC#4, page 95 completed. Delays ahead.

Finally, I was able to complete page 95, a page with enough detail to keep me busy, but also one that was fraught with delays — both with "real life work" as well as "real life". It is the later that affected progress the most and will continue to do so, for the next week, two, or more.

Unfortunately, this delay is unknown in length. My Dad is dying — he may only have 2 hours, or 2 weeks, left. We fear it will be sooner than later. Only time will tell. Edit: my Dad has passed away, and I will be traveling out of state very soon. You may not see any updates here for at least a week.

Work may continue during this time; if for no other reason, to keep me busy and my mind distracted. Or, I may not have time for any.

Once this has all run its course, the production of the last issue of grOw/cOmic#4 will continue.

Wow — it just dawned on me that it has been a week since my last update! Where has the time gone? It's been a rollercoaster of a week, that's for sure. Between "RL" work — and just plain "RL" — my time was considerably consumed. However, little by little, I was finally able to complete page 94. To help make up for this long respite, I am posting what I hope is a nice, juicy preview. This will also help balance out the previews that will appear for the end of the issue, which will most likely be much vaguer as we approach the end of the series. Enjoy!

GC#4, page 93 completed!

The first page of the last issue of the grOw/cOmic#4 series has been completed! Page 93 is the beginning of the final chapter in this 112-page, multi-growth series. I made sure to finish this one today, so that we are off to a good start. This page took a little longer than the usual first page as there are 3 panels this time, instead of the usual 1 or 2 opening large panel(s). Enjoy the preview!

GC#4, drawing completed!

I just finished sketching the last page of the entire series of grOw/cOmic#4, "grOwing Desires." Finalizing the last pages of issue 6, entitled "A Sex-perience of a lifetime", brings the series closer to an end. (It turns out that I had to do 3 more pages, as my last post mistakenly tallied 18 pages completed, when it was actually 17.) Now, it is on to inking and painting of the extra-long, 20-page final issue! Previews of each page will appear here, as usual, and progress is made on this chapter.

GC#4, issue 6 pencils nearly complete!

I made good progress in drawing the 6th and last issue of grOw/cOmic#4, though I didn't finish as I had hoped. Still, this step is nearly complete with 18 of the 20 pages drawn and scanned in. If all goes as it should, ink and paint, as well as the page-to-page updates, will begin next week!

GC#4, issue 6: pencils begin!

While I have been working on these for the past few days, I finally made some serious progress on the pencil drawings for grOw/cOmic#4, issue 6, "A Sex-perience of a lifetime." As of now, 10 out of 20 pages have been drawn. Yes, that's right — issue 6 will also be an extra long release, with 20 pages. Drawing these pages, however, is not all that I've been doing. As usual, I've been reviewing the script, cutting down long passages, and reworking others. Plus, before the drawing began, I had to "thumbnail sketch" the entire issue, planning the panels and figures. I used Poser quite extensively for this issue, in order to keep consistent "proportions" between our hero and his miniGTS girlfriend. In addition, it was a wonderful tool to assist me in getting the right "camera angle" of each dramatic panel, especially for this climactic issue. Hopefully, the next 10 pages won't take too long, and I can start inking and painting. Depending on the complexity of the pages, and the amount of "RL" work I have, I can pump out between 2 and 6 penciled pages a day.

Jon's night of wild and unbelievable sexual encounters came to an abrupt halt when his girlfriend showed up in the dormitory hallway. Lynn's eyes bored into him as she surveyed the scene and the "altered" state of his body as well as those of her roommates.

Jon was now at a loss under her silent scrutiny. What had she seen? What did she know? Did she understand that something was unnatural, if not impossible, about all of the events that transpired that evening? Did she understand that whatever was affecting the students in the dorm was insuppressible, as hard as he had tried to do so?

What Jon did not know, himself, was that Lynn knew. She knew nearly everything.

GC#4, page 92 completed!

The current issue has been finished with the completion of page 92. A few more things need to be done to wrap up this issue, including the "sneak preview" cover of issue 6, final proofreading and changes, creation of the final PDF, and setting up the store. Though "RL" work has been piling on recently, I think I can do all of the above by the start of this upcoming weekend, or, hopefully sooner. GC#4, page 91 completed!

I really didn't think I would finish page 91 today, as "RL" work unexpectedly hit me hard this morning. I originally thought I would be able to post this page by lunchtime, and continue on to the last page this afternoon. Nope. After spending most of the day scrambling to make a last minute deadline for a big project, I took a few hours to finish up this page, which I started yesterday. Sorry for the vague preview, but we are getting to the end of the issue! :) Just one more page and the cover of issue 6 to go! (And I finally decided on what will appear on said cover, which I've been mulling over for the last 3 or 4 weeks!)
